Congo Amethyst Cluster 7.8kg – Large Deep Purple Crystal Points 28cm | Congo

A 7.8kg natural Congo amethyst cluster, measuring 28cm long, 23cm wide and 11cm tall. A bold, collector-grade piece made up of large, chunky amethyst crystals in deep royal purple.

Large deep purple Congo amethyst points

Congo amethyst is known for its big, well-formed crystals and rich colour, and this cluster shows exactly why collectors seek it out. Dozens of large, glassy points crowd together in shades of deep violet and plum, many with pale, frosted bases that fade into dark purple tips. Smooth crystal faces catch the light, while smaller points tucked between them add depth and sparkle.

The cluster sits on a natural base of pale quartz and golden matrix, and is stable enough to display flat on a sideboard, coffee table, shelf or plinth.

Why choose Congo amethyst?

Compared with the fine, dense crystals of most Brazilian amethyst clusters, amethyst from the Democratic Republic of the Congo tends to grow as fewer, much larger individual points with strong colour zoning. This gives it a more sculptural, dramatic look. Congo amethyst is much less common in the UK than Brazilian material, and every cluster is one of a kind.

Amethyst meaning

Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm, intuition and restful sleep, and is a popular crystal for meditation and spiritual spaces. These traditional meanings reflect long-standing crystal belief, not proven effects.
